The DA is at it again blaming the ANC government for failing the youth of
Soweto, as if it is the only youth in the land but that as it may be I widh to
point to the fact that the major economic activity of this country still rests
in the hands of the few whites whose ambition is to perpetuate and exacerbate
the economic crisis for the majority in the Working Class communities. Well I
don't really expect Mr. Maimane to have a clue of the real issues except what
he is taught by the leader of the opposition party. Many young people are
indeed unemployed, unskilled and uneducated which is why emphasis has been put
on education and skills development so as to ensure quality employment and
quality response to the economic needs of the country. I am not taken aback by
what he has said but the reality is that he is only desperate for the votes of
the unsuspecting youth because he has been elevated to become some kind of a
political careerist by the masters of
capitalist ideology and system of living. Indeed I agree with Mr. Maimane that
there is a need to create jobs, but if he can just take a deep breath and check
who forms the membership of the DA. Are these the poor and the jobless or why
would his eagerness to create jobs amount to clothing the unsuspecting youth in
blue T.Shirts, pay them fifty rands to become party agents and lobby them to
fight their own parents at COSATU house. Is this not an attempt to plubnge the
country into violence, is this not another plot by his masters to reorganize
black on black violence and deminish the history of our people through lies?

Ofcourse there is a need for job creation by the ANC government the same way as
there is a need fo the creation of jobs by the white monopoly capital which for
years has failed to come to the party. By the way these are members of the DA
in their numbers. Mr Maimane must visit all the big banks in the land and check
who remains at the helm, is it not the old grannies from the minotity
communities, the jobs that are created for young people there are mainly as
under-paid tellers and service consultants. How many companies employ black
youth who come out of the education institutions as maagers and how many of
those hired remain employed for longer periods? Clearly there is a lot that Mr.
Maimane has to learn because the people of our country are not stupid. If the
DA was serious about delivery to the majority it would not professionalize the
selection of ward councilors by importing people who live in places where the
majority of the poor people of our
 country live.

We were not fooled in the past and we will not be fooled by this young
political entrepreneur.

Asikhulume!!!

Subject: [YCLSA Discussion] DA: ANC has abandoned the youth of Soweto

ANC has abandoned Soweto youth - DA

 SAPA, News24, Johannesburg, 11 August 2012

Johannesburg - The ANC has abandoned the youth of Soweto,
the Democratic Alliance said on Saturday.

Youths in Soweto had little hope of finding jobs, DA
        national spokesperson Mmusi Maimane said.

Maimane embarked on a door-to-door visit in Doornkop, Soweto
        on Saturday morning.

"A clear pattern emerged. Almost every family I visited
had a young member who could not find work, or who was concerned
        about not
being able to find work in future."

He said many of them had accepted that they would be
        indefinitely unemployed.

Maimane accused the African National Congress' policies of
not being efficient for them and encouraged them to jump onto
        the DA's
        bandwagon.

"The DA has a plan to change the way economy works and
break down the wall that excludes so many young South Africans
        from gainful
        employment.

"We have successfully brought this vision to the Western Cape
and I urged them to use their vote in 2014 to choose a new
        national government
that has the will, the ability and the vision to make South
        Africa's economy
        work for them," he said.

Employment was one of the issues highlighted as a priority
by President Jacob Zuma during his State of the Nation address
        earlier this
        year.

According to the labour department over 25% of the country's
potential workforce is unemployed. The youth are the hardest
        hit, with an
estimated 42% of young people between ages of 18 and 29 said to
        be jobless.
