*KDC workers agree to return to work***

Twelve thousand workers at Goldfields's KDC mine in Carletonville have now agreed to return back to work beginning with nightshift tonight.

The workers have been on an illegal strike since last Wednesday demanding that the compulsory deductions on the funeral cover be stopped and that their branch leadership should resign.

The leadership of the NUM has engaged with these workers and their issues and made a commitment that their demands will be investigated and attended to.

The workers overwhelmingly agreed to return to work and made a commitment to never again be misled by people with ulterior motives.
