Among the resolutions taken by the provincial congress, we are proud to announce that the united congress of YCLSA maintained the culture and tradition of consensus, and democratically elected leadership made up of the following comrades uncontested: Provincial Secretary Cde Bashin Magoma Provincial Chairperson Cde Makanti Mabala Provincial Treasurer Cde Thabo Kgapane Provincial Deputy Secretary Cde Koena Seanego Provincial Deputy Chairperson Cde Rendani Thanyani 15 members of the Provincial Executive Committee. Special Resolutions 1. Work to grow the organization both in quality and quantity 2. We demand that in each and every municipality there should be a shelter for counseling for the victims of domestic violence 3. We support and re-emphasize the call by the SACP in Limpopo for the removal of Premier Cassel Mathale and the under-performing cabinet as evidenced by the Departments put under administration. 4. We complement the public protector and government in general in its work to fight crime and corruption. The charges against Malema and cohorts attest to this, and we have confidence in our judiciary to maintain impartiality and uphold the integrity it is well-known of. 5. The Congress called on the disbandment of University of Limpopo Council 6. The Congress made a call that the Minister of Higher Education, Dr Blade Nzimande should consider to re-open the unused College of Education in Limpopo. 7. The YCLSA emerges with a serious determination in re-building strong relations in the Progressive Youth Alliance and the broader democratic movement. 8. The Congress further declared its support and a commitment to work for the re-election of President Zuma in Mangaung and Comrade Gwede Mantashe as the Secretary General. This is informed by the sterling work and achievements made by this collective in implementing many of the ANC Polokwane National Conference Resolutions. The underlying rationale is the principle of continuity and stability in the organization.
