*SACP Convenes Its Central Committee*

/Invitation to Post CC Press Briefing/


The 13th Congress Central Committee of the SACP will convene a plenary session of the CC which will be extended to SACP Provincial Treasurers, Provincial Gender Officers, Provincial Organisers, 54 District Secretaries, Alliance partners, SANACO, the Chris Hani Institute and a YCL delegation over the coming weekend.

The meeting will receive and discuss the political report to be tabled by the General Secretary on Friday, 30 November 2012.

On Saturday, 1 December 2012, the meeting will discuss reports from related institutions; receive a presentation from the Minister of Education Cde Angie Motshekga; discuss the state of mining in South Africa in the wake of violent strikes and an attempt to eliminate NUM by the bullet in the mining sector; receive the report of the YCL SA; and discuss the 2013 Draft Programme of Action.

On Sunday, 2 December 2012, the meeting will receive the state of finances report and discuss the state of the organisation report.

At the end of the meeting the SACP Officials will brief the media of the outcomes of the meeting at a press briefing to be held as follows:
