It is my understanding that Apartheid was a class project, just like we are
witnessing in Palestine.
That is why our movement characterized our NDR as a programme that seeks to
reverse class, race and gender contradictions in society.

Because of narrow, conservative neo-liberal policies, our society remains a
racial, patriarchal society where the working class are subjugated to
de-humanizing poverty, mass unemployment and deepening inequalities.

It is in this context that the movement has called for a radical phase of the
NDR.

My point is, we are still under CAPITALISM. And, my view is that capitalism
cannot, AND WILL NOT, be democratic. The vigilance we had during Apartheid,
must still be there and be strengthened.

The attack on the ANC President is an attack on the ANC, and the working class
constituency it represents. Those who are attacking Cde Jacob Zuma, they are
attacking him in his capacity as both ANC President and the President of the
Republic. That is why we respond as a collective.

We don't have a romantic relationship with Mr Jacob Zuma. We have a
revolutionary relationship with him as fellow comrade, and a tried and tested
cadre of our ANC-led MDM. This vigour we have to defend our leaders, the
movement and it's posture is not Zuma-specific.

We defend ALL our leaders.

We reserve our anger for our arch-enemy...white monopoly capital.

If it was Cde Kgalema Motlanthe being caricatured, we were going to be vocal
and defend our cadre and leader as part of defending the ANC-led MDM from the
DA-led liberal, right-wing offensive, of which the media is part.

Just my view.
