*ANC Statement* *Centenary Closing Ceremony*The African National Congress will be hosting a concert event that will mark the closure of centenary celebrations on the *6th January 2013 at the Arena (International Convention Centre) in Ethekwini*. The closing ceremony will be addressed by President Jacob Zuma and will feature national artists that will be performing. The event will also retire the National Centenary Flame that will be kept at the ANC Head Quarters whilst awaiting its placing at the ANC National Heritage Institute that is yet to be built.
During the closing ceremony, the National Chairperson of the ANC, Comrade Baleka Mbete will give an abridged story of the ANC Centenary Flame and the celebrations. *Doors will open at 13h00 and the event will end at 23h00*.Some of the artist that will perform are following: Jonas Gwangwa, Zahara, Zakes Bantwini, DJ Cindo, DJ Mahoota and Vetkoek, DJ Tira, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Sfiso Ncwane, Gamelihle amongst others.
The cover price for those attending will be *R30* and R150 for VIPs. All South Africans from all communities are invited to attend the event. The media will be accredited on site and they have to bring their media cards or alternatively an official letter on an official letterhead that confirms their employment.
*January 8 Rally*The African National Congress will be hosting the 101st anniversary of its existence on *_12 January 2013_ at ABSA Rugby Stadium in Ethekwini, KZN*.
This will be preceded by a Gala Dinner on the 11th January 2013.Media houses that will be attending the event will need to apply for accreditation. An application form will be posted on the ANC website as from tomorrow 29th December 2012.The application will be open until the 8th January 2013.
