*SACP Media Alert, 8 April 2013*** *20th Anniversary of the Assassination of Cde Chris Hani*The SACP in collaboration with the Ekurhuleni Metro will host a wreath laying ceremony in commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the assassination of the late SACP General Secretary, Cde Chris Hani.
The wreath laying ceremony will be held as follows:

Furthermore, a memorial lecture in honour of Cde Chris Hani will be held

The SACP will use the occasion of the 20th Anniversary Commemoration to
re-launch its Financial Sector Campaign.The key issues to be picked up
in the campaign include amongst others the demand for an end to reckless
unsecured lending perpetuated by the banks and financial institutions,
an opposition to the proposal by BASA to call for the NCR to be
incorporated into the FSB, to Defend the right for the NCR to
aggressively enforce the National Credit Act, to call for the Compulsory
Consumer Education and Financial Literacy programmes and for an end to
securitization of debts.
