Party plan in overdrive Malema, Kunene, Jim, Mathunjwa, Motsepe and Shivambu in secret launch preparation Warren Mabona and Montsho Matlala, The New Age, Johannesburg, 24 June 2013 JULIUS Malema's bid to launch his own political party went into overdrive this weekend following a secret meeting in his home province of Limpopo. Sources close to the meeting told The New Age the purpose of the gathering at the home of Malema co-accused and business associate Kagiso Dichabe, was to put into motion the launch of his party under the Economic Freedom Frighters (EFF) banner. According to impeccable sources, the meeting was attended by former members of the ANC Youth League, business associates of Malema, Floyd Shivambu, Maverick socialite Kenny Kunene, Numsa secretary-general Irvin Jim and the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (Amcu) president, Joseph Mathunjwa.
