The king is recorded in the media as saying President Jacob Zuma “flushes people like condoms”. King Dalindyebo who was appointed on *01 July 1992* as the paramount king of Thembuland must understand that kings and chiefs are not made but are born. Not so long ago the king made utterances to the effect that the people must abandon the African National Congress (ANC) in favour of the Democratic Alliance (DA). Previously there were separatist stories away from South Africa associated with the king. The response that the king deserves for his utterances could negatively affect the institution of his kingdom as his utterances already do and bring it into disrepute. My humble request to the king is that he must strongly consider undergoing counselling or rehab to uproot whatever is the cause of his problematic utterances because his mind is always unusual or extraordinary. The state of the King’s mind is a worrying factor. The King behaviour is not a good example to our generation to come. He is currently facing a 15 years jail sentence after being found guilty in 2009 for the following grave charges, *culpable homicide, kidnapping, arson and assault*. I am happy that he will or joined the Democratic Alliance (DA); maybe they have a space for such unruly element of people such as the King. It is unfortunate for him that the investigation of Nhlapo Commission found that, his position is not hereditary that he can passed on from one generation to the next, so the law will only allows him until his death according to the customary law and customs of the traditional community. He must learn from great leaders like King Sekhukhune, King Moshoeshoe, and King Mphephu etc who followed King Shaka and maintained the status of traditional role and functions of a monarch, albeit at time under difficult circumstances. There were some successions dispute but they were resolved by the inner family council. The dispute never resulted in a fissure. The King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo already has too much in his plate to think of, he must start addressing the BaThembu feuds, conflicts, squabbles in the royal dynasty, his pending jail sentence for serious misconduct etc, before he can address President Jacob Zuma. The King is so disrespect-full.
