Why do you make this about Vavi?...there's an organisation after all.

There are no charges. There is a CEC tomorrow. A CEC is not a disciplinary.

Now it does make sense to me VC, comrade can imagine if it was your wife who is
been abused by this powerful man.

Do we know the stress he caused to another man's family, honestly he destroyed
the happy family that was united by God.

Let's face reality and stop been too loyal to the individual, Vavi abused his
office power & maybe this kind of practice its been happening for years.

Aluta!!!!

"the man has already apologized to all parties concerned"?

That is not true. It is a lie that you are putting here, Bongumusa.

The man, Vavi, has not apologised to his victim. Instead, he spread her name to
the public using the COSATU web site, while describing what he did to her,
"doggie style", after locking the door of her office.

Then he reported her to the police with accusations of criminal "extortion",
which will put her in jail, and finally, he is suing her for damages, which her
husband will have to pay because she does not have a job any more.

For this you propose a warning and business as usual and look away from what
happened to the woman that Vavi picked up from the check-in counter at O R
Tambo, after showing her to his wife.

If you accept Vavi's "apology" while he continues to destroy this young married
woman and her husband, then you become part of that horrible dirty process that
Vavi is still involved in and has never stopped being involved in. Nor is this
the first such episode. Nor will it be the last, because the higher the stakes
are for Vavi, the more the risk, and the more thrill he gets out of it.

So you are lining yourself up to be complicit in something even worse in the
future.

If ever there was a "ticking time bomb", it is Vavi himself. When that is the
case, something has to be done about it. So let us hope we can do something
about it before the end of Women's Month.

That does not warrant a harsh sanction other than a warning, the man has

react to the management(CEC) acts. Watch the space I foresee the beginning of
the demise of this glorious trade union. And all that just there people who
value their sworn allegiance to individuals than the mass mandate.

Bongumusa, can we then all have sex in our employers premises and let it be
business as usual?

We are seek and tired of this saga, can these people let Vavi continue with
fighting serious issues like e-Tolls, labour brokers, corruption, etc., we are
not of the business of nursing their sentiments we put Vavi there and there he
shall remain until we state otherwise.

The statement, contrived two days before the CEC, given first to the media, is
not a decision. It is a script. It is a script for disruption. You can see
this, too. No sangoma business is required. No rocket science, either.

Message sent. Message received and understood. That's all.

No confidence in Dlamini: Numsa
The New Age, SAPA

Comments by Cosatu president Sdumo Dlamini have "contaminated" a planned
meeting to discuss the fate of general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi, Numsa said on
Monday.

"The reasons and motivation for the convening of the special CEC [central
executive committee] on 14th August... [has] been contaminated and prejudged by
the Cosatu president's public utterances," the National Union of Metalworkers
of SA said in a statement.

Numsa said Dlamini had "determined" that Vavi had brought the Congress of SA
Trade Unions into disrepute before the CEC received a report on the matter.

The CEC meeting, which was scheduled for Wednesday, follows an admission by
Vavi to an extra-marital affair with a married junior employee at Cosatu. The
employe e alleged that Vavi raped her, but she later withdrew her sexual
harassment grievance against him.

Numsa held a special central committee meeting on Sunday to discuss Cosatu's
upcoming CEC meeting.

It said after the meeting that it expected Dlamini to "engage the presidents of
affiliates to rescue Cosatu from imploding". However, he asked Numsa president
Cedric Gina to convene the presidents.

This showed that Dlamini had "taken sides".
