FAWU will not be striking tomorrow. This is because FAWU received legal advice against participating in the NUMSA strike "as we were not applicants, co-applicants or joinders to the application". They did not apply so they are not protected. They won't be on strike tomorrow and it's not very likely that any other unions will strike, either. Media have been crowing about 500,000, without any questions. Tomorrow they won't be counting but will change tack and report the speeches, even if there is no audience. Will Hillary Clinton pitch up and offer cookies to Irvin Jim at his attempted mini-Maidan? Brace yourselves for insults and provocations, and keep cool like Vladimir Putin.
