SATAWU calls on all its members in KZN to come out in their numbers to
support the SACP-COSATU worker's march in support of the ANC

SATAWU is calling on all its members in KZN and the workers in general to
support the SACP-COSATU workers march in support of the ANC that will be
held in Durban on the 26th of April 2014.

The march will be led by the General Secretary of the SACP, Cde Blade
Nzimande and the President of COSATU, Cde Sdumo Dlamini and other leaders of
affiliates and alliance partners.

SATAWU has taken a resolution at its previous CEC to support the ANC as the
national liberation movement of the people to win a two-thirds majority in
the coming elections. Our support to the ANC goes beyond the rhetoric and
political posture. Ours is materially based, as we believe that we need a
strong ANC that is working class biased in order to continue to champion and
support the interest of the majority population, which is the working class
and poor.

We further call all affiliates of COSATU to stand up and acknowledge the
achievement of the movement and further defend those victories going
forward. We are adamant that no any other political party represents the
aspirations of workers than the ANC. It is in the ANC-led government that
workers are able to find space for political expression and democratic
exercise of their rights.

The details of the march are as follows:

. Date: 26 April 2014 (Saturday)

. Time: 09h00

. Venue: Durban (Curries Fountain to City Hall)

Members of the media are all invited to attend and cover the march.
