ANC Media, 3 May 2014 ANC Welcomes Decision of Western Cape High Court DA application dismissed with costs The African National Congress has welcomed the decision of the Western Cape High Court to dismiss the DA's urgent application with costs. The DA accused the ANC of conflating the party and state relationship during the election campaign and asked the court to impose a fine of R200 000 on ANC Western Cape leader, Comrade Marius Fransman. The court dismissed the DA's application with costs. ANC Secretary General, Comrade Gwede Mantashe, said that the High Court ruling was a major blow to the DA's desperate attempt to cling to power in the Western Cape.
