*THE YCLSA GAUTENG CONGRATULATES THE 5TH DEMOCRATIC ADMINISTRATION*
*26 May 2014* The Young Communist League of South Africa (YCLSA) in Gauteng has noted the appointment of the National Executive of the 5th democratic dispensation led by a highly capable people’s choice, President JG Zuma. We welcome and congratulate all the Ministers and deputy ministers. The YCLSA in Gauteng also welcomes the appointment of the Gauteng Premier Cde David Makhura together with his cabinet. We further congratulate the Provincial Secretary of the SACP in Gauteng, Comrade Jacob Mamabolo and the National Secretary of the YCLSA Comrade Buti Manamela on their appointments as MEC of Human Settlement and Deputy Minister in the Presidency respectively. We believe that these are consistent with the spirit of deploying capable, tried and tested cadres with the requisite talents to advance the cause of the National Democratic Revolution (NDR). In light of the declaration by both the ANC Manifesto and President Jacob Zuma in his inauguration address, that this administration is charged with the task of facilitating a radical transformation of our economic and social situation; the YCLSA is humbled by the fact that the capable leadership of the SACP and the YCL will be central in bringing this radicalism to life. It is our longstanding understanding that this radical transformation of our society and its economic instruments cannot succeed only through the actions of comrades in cabinet. It is our revolutionary obligation as the YCL and the SACP to complement the efforts of our comrades in government with mass mobilisation and committed activism. We know it too well that state power can only succeed if it is buttressed with mass power.
