ANC Statement, 29 May 2014

Outcome of By-Elections

The African National Congress welcomes the outcome of yesterday's
by-elections in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and the Western Cape. The
ANC has retained its wards both in Tshwane and KwaZulu-Natal which once more
confirms that our people see the ANC as their hope to give meaning to their
desire for change and improvement of their circumstances.

We want to thank our people for this show of confidence particularly in the
aftermath of the general elections which re-affirmed the ANC as the leader
of society and a catalyst for change and transformation. With the
confidence shown towards the ANC we commit to serve our people with greater
diligence and accountability.
