SACP Northern Cape Province Press Release, 30 May 2014 SACP congratulates its N-Cape Provincial Secretary Comrade Norman Shushu for his appointment as MEC of Agriculture The South African Communist Party in the Northern Cape Province would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and wish Comrade Norman Shushu best of luck in his new area of deployment as MEC of Agriculture (retained). Comrade Norman Mahobe Shushu served the ANC led government in this department (Agriculture) in the past administration (Five years) as MEC, and he performed his duties with diligent and as a discipline communist who advanced the interests of all the Northern Cape people especially the working class and the poor. We also further congratulate all the comrades who have successfully been deployed as Members of the Executive Council in the Legislature of the Northern Cape. Furthermore, we also congratulate Cde. Sylvia Lucas for her visionary leadership of stabilising the provincial administration by promoting continuity in the MEC's; and we hope that through her leadership she will ensure that the province remain focus to prioritize the plight of the working class and the poor in pursuit of building a better life for all. Comrade Shushu as a Communist is best placed to continue the radical transformation of rural development, Land and agrarian reform in the interests of the working class and the poor.
