Formation of the revolutionary collective The development of the productive forces of society is a revolutionary imperative. But the development of the productive forces of society, without changing the fundamental relations of production, when those relations of production are capitalist, will mean not only the expansion of the working class, but also and in direct proportion, the expansion of capital. All of this can be derived from study of Marx's Capital, Volume 1, and it is confirmed in Volumes 2 and 3 of that work. Capital is a relation, not a thing, and the genesis of that relation is the simple act of sale and purchase of labour power, or, in other words, a job. The so-called "National Democratic Society" is not an end-point of development, but it is a point of crisis, when the revolution against capitalism is poised to re-ignite, because further development will require a change in the relations of production. Crucial at that point will be the degree of organisation, and the degree of consciousness, that has been achieved in an expanded working class. The study of philosophy becomes critical. This aspect of development is direct. Organisation is a task that has to be done. If it is not done, spontaneity will not fill the gap. On the contrary, the degeneration of the revolution is what will result, if a virtue is made of spontaneity. Development without organisation will still be class struggle, but it will be a class struggle that the bourgeoisie will win. Given the chance, the bourgeoisie will win at any cost, including the destruction of the whole productive economy. Organise, or starve! Organise, or lose! -- -- You are subscribed.
