Policy Conference

 

 

The African National Congress Women's League will hold its National Policy
Conference this coming weekend from the 11th to the 14th December 2014 at
the Birchwood Conference Centre in Gauteng.

 

Convening under the theme "Radical Transformation of Women's Socio-Economic
Rights", the Policy Conference will be attended by more than 600 delegates
representing branches of the organisation throughout the country.

 

The National Policy Conference is a precursor to the National Conference to
be held in 2015 and will be deliberating on policy in the following areas:

 

.    Inclusion of Women in the Mainstream Economy

 

.    Poverty Eradication

 

.    Gender Based Violence

 

.    Education and Health

 

.    Organisational Renewal

 

.    Women and Leadership

 

All these areas are anchored by the recently released ANCWL Gender Framework
2014 Document available on the League's website www.anc.org.za/wl
