SACP Gauteng Provincial Executive Committee, Press Statement, 14 January 2015 SACP Gauteng mourns the death of our Sedibeng District Organiser Comrade Mlibazisi Isaac Msiza The SACP Gauteng is deeply saddened by the death of our Sedibeng District Organiser, Comrade Mlibazisi Isaac Msiza who passed on, on the 7 January 2015 following a short illness. Comrade Msiza was born on the 24 February 1971. He worked for the party as a volunteer and thereafter served as its Sedibeng District organiser until he met his death. He was actively involved in several alliance organisations and in carrying out the political work of our movement. As the district organiser, Comrade Msiza fulfilled his political obligations with loyalty and dedication. He connected our party organically with community struggles and grounded them within SACP campaigns. He intervened in housing, health and education issues in communities in the district and taught people that socialism is not a utopia. He contributed to the exponential growth of the party in the district. His deployment in Sedibeng, Midvaal was thus not accidental, but the product of a hard-working and diligent party cadre. When the district in both the party and the ranks of the trade union movement had been fiercely contested by rightwing opportunism, it was Comrade Msiza who was called to coordinate the "Qina Msebenzi campaign" on the ground, one of the party's biggest counter-offensive against monopoly capital and its conscious representative agents in the district. He worked towards a massive demonstration, which rolled back those pockets of forces with zoological hatred for the SACP. Comrade Msiza will thus be remembered by his close comrades as a selfless organiser, who contributed to the application in our conditions of the party's Leninist principle of organisation, building and safeguarding the unity of the working class as the only social force which capable to bring out by revolutionary struggle, the destruction of capitalism and exploitation. We bid farewell to a seasoned organiser, a campaigner and a disciplined party cadre. The memorial service will be held as follows: . Date: 15 January 2015 (Thursday) . Time: 14h00 . Venue: Soul Tsotetsi Sports Centre, Sedibeng The funeral service will be held as follows: . Date: 17 January 2015 (Saturday) . Time: 08h00 - 12h00 .
