ANC to hold cadre's assembly Kamogelo Seekoei, The New Age, Johannesburg, 19 January 2015 The ANC in Free State province will today celebrate its 103rd birthday with a cadre's assembly where the way forward according to party president Jacob Zuma will be discussed. Spokesperson for the party in the province, Thabo Meeko, said the assembly, to be held in Welkom today follows the January 8 Rally in Cape Town. Meeko said all leaders from branch level to the provincial executive would attend the meeting today. Provincial chairperson Ace Magashule will address the assembly and chart a way forward for the province, taking a leaf from the president's speech, Meeko said. "Comrade Magashule will address the meeting, bringing the January 8 statement to our provincial dynamics. It is a programme that will guide the movement this year and instruct us going forward on the basis of the Freedom Charter injunctions," Meeko said. He said the Freedom Charter would be the connecting thread for the organisation this year as has already been outlined by Zuma. The assembly starts at 9am at the Deep Life Ministries in Welkom.
