Young Communist League of South Africa Mpumalanga Province YCLSA Mpumalanga condemns the hooliganism and disruption of the memorial lecture
Monday, 26 January 2015 The Young Communist League of South Africa [ufasimba] in Mpumalanga is shocked and angered by the hooliganism dispatched over the weekend at the Joe Slovo and Jimmy Mohlala lecture which was held at Kanyamazane Community Hall. We condemn the damning anarchy which was displayed by the praise singers and cheerleaders of DD Mabuza. We are not going to be threatened by those who seek survival by kneeling down to an individual who think the ANC is a monarch. All those thugs did those sinister acts in the name of the chairperson especially after the ANC REC of Ehlanzeni instructed the SACP in the district to cancel the memorial lecture or face terrible consequences. Lumpen-tenderpreneurs are obsessed with anarchy, they do not respect law and principle instead they operate in a mafia style whilst masquerading as revolutionaries. These acts are the same with apartheid terror tendencies that were masterminded by STRATCOM reactionary tactics. We are now convinced that former apartheid spies who worship anarchy, masterminding patronage and trained to be anti-communist are in full operation in the province. We believe that the SACP is an independent political organisation with its programs and campaigns and it within their right to invite any person who will immensely contribute to that particular gathering. The SACP owes no one an apology to be a campaigning and vibrant organisation in the province. We will defend our Party against any apartheid tactic trying to liquidate or instil fear to comrades even it means laying our lives. We will defend the SACP at all cost including the Provincial Secretary Cde Bonakele Majuba. We are not going to be threatened by hooligans sent by Lumpen Tenderpreneurs. The YCLSA calls for the removal of DD Mabuza as the Premier and Chairperson of the ANC till such time his name is cleared from the allegations of being a former apartheid spy. He failed to advocate for unity and cohesion in the province instead people are living in fear under disguise of a united province. He does not reflect an embodiment of democracy. All those that seem to differ with him are subjected to persecution and sort of threats. Many commissions were established with no results and we see the call for a commission of inquiry going to be wasteful expenditure instead the ANC Provincial Chairperson must tell the nation about his struggle credentials and clear his name. Further he must not run away by threatening to sue other comrades. The ANC must clean itself from any foreign tendency and reclaim its values and principles that were at the centre of its formation. Our movement remains the beacon of hope for the working class and the poor but not under stewardship of intolerant and anti-communists. We welcome and acknowledge the statement released by ANC National Spokesperson and the commitment to act against perpetrators. The unfortunate part is the referral of the matter to the ANC PEC to deal with the matter at hand. It has been proven beyond reasonable doubt that the PEC doesn’t have that capacity to deal with unruly behaviour due to the fact that anarchy happens with the blessing of the Provincial Chairperson. We appeal to National to deal with this matter than to hand over it to the PEC that is in fear of an individual who has turned the organisation to his kingdom. We condemn in the strongest possible terms the actions carried out in the name of our organization and distance the ANC from such hooliganism and intolerance. There can be no justification for the behavior displayed and the ANC will leave no stone unturned in the quest to get to the bottom of this matter and discipline those who acted as ANC members in the execution of such dastardly acts. The relationship between the African National Congress and the South African Communist Party is one formed over many decades of fighting shoulder to shoulder in the trenches to liberate our people. Whims of individuals that undermine this historical and revered Alliance reveal a lack of understanding, by those who commit such acts, of the selfless sacrifices of many comrades who paid the ultimate price for peace, liberty and tolerance. Yesterday's humiliating acts are an affront and attack of the legacy bestowed upon us by Comrades Joe Slovo, Chris Hani, Moses Kotane, JB Marks, Chief Albert Luthuli, Oliver Tambo, Nelson Mandela and many other compatriots who devoted their lives to preserving our vision of seeing, in the words of Comrade Joe Slovo, the party’s red flag flying side by side with the black, green and gold of our national liberation movement. The ANC trusts that the Provincial Executive Committee in Mpumalanga will act with haste to identify and bring to book the instigators and perpetrators of yesterday's actions.
