Concerned about Malamulele

Limpopo SACP Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) expressed concern over the
acts of violence and instability, especially with regard to the stoppage of
schooling and education activity in Malamulele. The SACP sympathises with
the plight of the Malamulele communities.

However, the stoppage of schooling, rather than act against the hardships,
will have the effect of disadvantaging learners and is directly against the
objective interests of Malamulele communities. It must therefore be
discouraged and all whom it may concern must stop it with immediate effect.

The SACP calls upon the Provincial Government and the affected National
Departments to intervene decisively in resolving the Malamulele impasse. The
SACP in Limpopo is ready for the national Alliance intervention as announced
last week following the National Alliance Secretariat meeting held on
Thursday.
