SADTU to train School Principals

 

 

The media are hereby invited to witness a training workshop of 120
principals in KwaZulu-Natal run by the South African Democratic Teachers'
Union. 

 

The principals will receive training on Professional Learning Communities,
Instruction Leadership, and School Governance and Management through the
Union's School Management Training (SMT) programme. 

 

The programme is in line with SADTU's 2030 Vision, which is pillared on
among others, creating a learning nation and servicing members. 

 

The programme targets principals and deputy principals, who are the main
drivers of change in schools, in order to steer their schools in the right
direction.

 

Since 2013, 700 principals have received this training in six provinces.
After KwaZulu-Natal training will continue in Mpumalanga Province from 19 -
21 February and North West Province from 26 to28 February  

 

The KwaZulu-Natal training will take place as follows:

 

.    Dates: 12 - 14 February 2015

 

.    Venues: 

 

1. Protea Hotel, Richards Bay, Number 3, Hibberd Drive, Meerensee

 

2.   Durban Spa Hotel, Number 57, O R Tambo Parade (Marine Parade)
