South African Communist Party, 28 February 2015 Moses Kotane and John Beaver Marks Memorial Lecture and Party welcoming ceremony The media is invited to attend and cover the lecture to be held in memory of former Party and Alliance, General Secretary Malome Moses Maune Kotane and National Chairperson Uncle John Beaver JB Marks. The mortal remains of the two martyrs and outstanding heroes of our struggle for national and social emancipation are arriving tomorrow from Moscow, Russia. Both Kotane and Marks were buried in Russia where they fell during the course of our struggle. The lecture is part of the Party’s welcoming ceremony. The details of the lecture are as follows: * Date: 1 March 2015 (Tomorrow) * Time: 11h00 * Venue: Es’kia Mphahle Community Library, Sammy Marks Square, corner Lillian Ngoyi and Madiba Streets, Pretoria * Speaker: ○ Comrade Thulas Nxesi, SACP Deputy National Chairperson, who is also Minister of Public Works, will address the lecture as the keynote speaker.
