I wonder who leaked the 'information' about the dismissal of Vavi. COSATU President spoke on *MorningLive* and dismissed these reports. He said COSATU is upset and they feel "violated by the media". See here:
Dlamini refutes Vavi expulsion reports Tuesday 31 March 2015 08:15 SABC Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) President, Sdumo Dlamini has dismissed claims the federation has expelled Cosatu’s General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi. Speaking to Morning Live Dlamini says the union is still engaged in internal discussion and no decision has been take yet to expel Vavi. “Let me put it for the record, there is no announcement that Cosatu has made about the general secretary [Vavi] the matters are still being discussed in the CEC and we want everybody to respect that. And respect the federation to be able to conclude the it’s work properly,” says Dlamini. Dlamini says the union will make its announcement pertaining to the future of Vavi in the organisation at 12pm on Tuesday. According to reports sources within the federation, say that the affiliates voted overwhelmingly for Vavi’s immediate dismissal. Vavi had been at the helm of the trade union federation for more than 15 years. Sources allegedly claim 31 voted for Vavi to be fired while only one voted against.
