NEHAWU 3.png Media Statement, 2 July 2015 Starting Tomorrow: NEHAWU to Convene a Four Day Political School NEHAWU will be convening a four day Central Executive Committee Political School starting tomorrow 3rd of July 2015 to the 6th July 2015 at the Birchwood Hotel in East Rand, Johannesburg, under our theme for the year: The year of intensifying class consciousness and of regional congresses. The political school is aimed at grounding and infusing the leadership of the union with the revolutionary theory , through ideological training and engaging with the national political landscape , as we venture into a radical second phase of our transition. On the agenda of the political school are the following topics: . Building consciousness and capacity to respond to the current political challenges facing our broad liberation movement . Defending our union, our federation and our alliance as a whole . Preparing for COSATU Congresses The political school will also thoroughly discuss the SACP Discussion document" Going to the Roots" and the COSATU Mayday Theme "Repositioning COSATU towards a radical economic transformation" The details of the political school are as follows: . Venue: Birchwood Hotel, East Rand The political school will be addressed by the leaders of the alliance including the; SACP General Secretary, Cde Blade Nzimande, ANC Secretary General, Cde Gwede Mantashe and COSATU President, Cde Sdumo Dlamini.
