YCLSA.png YCLSA Press Statement, 19 July 2015 YCLSA says: "OUR PARTY IS NOT FOR SALE" As the Young Communist League of South Africa [uFasimba], we don't have time for sell outs, but we are compelled to respond in the interests of the revolution. This is the duty call for the young reds to tell the truth and to defend the revolution. The NUMSA leadership clique as led by Irvin Jim and his cronies has made it their daily business to attack the SACP and its General Secretary, Cde Blade Nzimande, as well as the leaders of and the Congress Movement leaders. This childish behaviour by the NUMSA leadership clique is of late a display of frustration as a result of the successful SACP Special National Congress and COSATU Special Congress which went against their plan. Their plan is in the open; they want a divided COSATU, and they want a divided SACP and a dead ANC-led alliance. Irvin Jim and his cronies failed to destroy SACP and COSATU. Now they are busy destroying NUMSA from within. They have changed NUMSA from being the biggest union of metal workers in the history of the African continent to be the most reactionary union in the African continent. Irvin Jim is an embarrassment to former NUMSA General Secretaries Cde Mbuyiselo Ngwenda, Cde Enoch Godongwana and Cde Silumko Nondwangu. Irvin Jim's and his cronies' actions are against NUMSA's long term vision "of a united South Africa where minority will no longer exploit and oppress the majority. For many, this is the socialism that we still striving for. An organized and united working class must make sure we achieve this goal". Their actions are against this noble vision. Anyway, we are not surprised as Mao Zedong once said "If you were a revolutionary a day before yesterday and yesterday, and today you are a sellout, you are a sellout". Our advice to Irvin Jim NUMSA Leadership clique is that admitting to a problem is the first step toward finding a solution. Confessing a sin is the beginning of redemption. Let the problems facing NUMSA to be the start of our salvation. As Young Communist League, we will only take NUMSA's leadership seriously when they admit they sold out the working class and they want to correct their disastrous mistakes. They must respect COSATU's founding principles of one industry one union, one country one federation, stop cannibalising membership and return to the federation and respect its authority and leadership. As YCLSA we have been proven correct, guided by history that each and every force that agrees with the bosses of industry, they all attack our Party. Starting from the narrow factionalists founders of the PAC to the Gang of 8, including UDM and the break-away to COPE. So the NUMSA leadership clique is not a surprise history. The Irvin Jim NUMSA leadership clique fails to understand because of their class position and association with imperialist centres. The only political organ of the working class in South Africa is the South African Communist Party, which is championing working class interest. It is understandable the Irvin Jim clique and its cronies are long gone. These are wedge drivers who want to divide the Party and YCLSA. We say sorry, not now, and never shall that happen. They lost in their bid to divide COSATU; they lost and lost. They must accept that. We call all NUMSA members to rise and defend NUMSA from parasitic aristocratic elements who claim to be genuine NUMSAleaders, whereas they are nothing but a predatory leadership clique that imposes its will over the union through questionable means. Our Party is not for sale! We will defend the SACP till we die! And COSATU is here to stay as is the SACP. Irvin Jim misunderstands not only the debates that took place at SACP special national congress on state power, but because of a deficit on proper on-going political education, also the nature and character of the working class and our national liberation movement as well as alliance. This is clearly reflected in his utterances made yesterday about the SACP and the YCLSA which were covered by Naspers' News24 digital media without offering us both time and space to state our own side of the story and thus the right of reply. For the record, Irvin Jim is a deviant, a detractor, factionalist and factory fault who cannot have any ally in the YCLSA. He is hell-bent not only on destroying COSATU but surgically removing workers from the ANC-led alliance. By the way, delegates at COSATUspecial national congress rejected his propaganda pamphlet delivered in an entryist style of work at the congress. COSATU affiliates which he implicated by using their logos without authorisation distanced themselves from his factional propaganda in the plenary. The YCLSA rejects his poisonous tongue and malice. Such can only find support in reactionary media and the imperialist centre, the USA, which he frequents these days in his campaign to destroy COSATU and fight against the ANC-led alliance. As the YCLSA, the integral and inseparable organ of the SACP, we fully endorsed SACP special national congress resolution on state power, especially the electoral strategy of a reconfigured alliance as adopted, unopposed, by the congress following democratic debates!
