Citizen3.png Sdumo Dlamini slams Malema and Maimane Warren Mabona, The Citizen, Johannesburg, 7 October 2015 COSATU President Sdumo Dlamini on Wednesday lashed out at leaders of Economic Freedom Fighters and the DA for what he called attacking the ANC in parliament. Dlamini was addressing thousands of workers in Braamfontein in Johannesburg while they were marching for, among other things, better working conditions and the scrapping of the e-tolls. He said it was useless for EFF leader Julius Malema to lead a march against corruption while he was also facing corruption charges himself. Dlamini called on DA leader Mmusi Maimane to focus on resolving his party's internal strife. "All I can say is that you (Malema) can wear our red colours but we know who you are," said Dlamini without mentioning the names. "Let them stop insulting our leaders and focus on their own problems. We are focusing on our own affairs. We are here today and are coming from far and we did resolve our problems!" Dlamini also took a swipe at some businesspeople in the tripartite alliance, saying they were using money to divide the ruling party and its alliance partners. "Businesspeople must stop running our organisations. We don't want businesspeople to destroy our organisations." The march was led by COSATU and some of its alliance partners including the South African Communist Party and the South African Civic Organisation. They delivered a memorandum outside Telkom offices in Braamfontein, which was received by representatives from Telkom and the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA). Their demands included halting the planned retrenchments at Telkom and that PRASA must purchase smaller trains that would be accessible to the people living in RDP house sections in the townships. <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] From: <http://citizen.co.za/805736/sdumo-dlamini-slams-malema-and-maimane/> http://citizen.co.za/805736/sdumo-dlamini-slams-malema-and-maimane/ -- -- You are subscribed.
