Morning Star.png Israel's Occupying Forces Kill 3 More Young Palestinians The Morning Star, London, 15 February 2016 Three Palestinian teenagers were killed by Israeli occupation forces in two separate incidents in the West Bank yesterday. The army claimed that two Palestinians were throwing rocks at passing vehicles near the West Bank city of Jenin and when forces arrived at the scene Palestinians opened fire on them. The soldiers fired back and killed two Palestinians, the military said, adding that no soldiers were wounded in the exchange. The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the two Palestinians as 15-year-old cousins Nihad and Fouad Waqed from the West Bank village of al-Araka, near Jenin. Later, at a West Bank checkpoint on the outskirts of Jerusalem, a Palestinian allegedly armed with a knife ran at Israeli paramilitary border police and an officer shot and killed him, Israeli police said. No Israeli officers were wounded. The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the Palestinian as 17-year-old Naim Safi of Abadiya village near Bethlehem. On Saturday, 18 year-old Palestinian woman Kilzar al-Eweiei was killed by Israeli troops after stabbing an Israeli soldier and a Palestinian bystander near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron. Hebron public prosecutor Ashraf Mishal told the Ma'an news agency that she could have survived the three gunshot wounds she suffered with medical attention, but soldiers had left her to bleed to death. On Sunday, Israeli campaigners Peace Now reported that Israel had begun building 1,800 new homes in illegal West Bank settlements in 2016.
