SANA.png De Mistura to meet Syrian Arab Republic delegation UN seeking rapprochement among Syrian sides Mazen, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), in Geneva, 15 March 2016 UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said on Tuesday that the United Nations works for a rapprochement among the Syrian sides, adding that dialogue among Syrian sides is going on and he will meet the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic on Wednesday. "We will continue separate meetings with the Syrian sides to know the common points and differences and look for the appropriate time to start the direct dialogue between the delegations of the Syrian Arab Republic and the opposition," di Mistura said at a press conference following a meeting with "al-Riyadh opposition." De Mistura pointed out that during the meeting with "al-Riyadh opposition", talks concentrated on delivering the humanitarian aid to all Syrian regions and "exchanging ideas about the process of political transition." He hoped Russia's decision to decrease the number of Russian forces in Syria would lead to a positive impact on the inter-Syrian dialogue.
