Had it not been for the unjust bombing of Aghanistan, following "9/11", there would not have been any CU then, or later. Some things that were scheduled to happen have not yet happened. Seven countries were supposed to be "taken out" in five years, on orders of then US Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld, "starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran." [see Media Lens, "Fifteen Years of Media Lens", 25 July 2016]. Some of the seven countries, and Afghanistan, have been "taken out". But in the case of Syria, the aggression was arrested, last year, on 30 September, because of the Russian intervention there, and Iran has stayed solid, in spite of sanctions. The crisis that is now falling upon Europe is a consequence of the war that was taken to Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Syria. The reason why it is a crisis is because it has been arrested. It was not able to proceed and it has failed. This is what has caused the crisis in Europe: not the war, but the failure of the war.
