CUVSS Day Twenty-Eight, Week Six*

Philosophy and Religion, Two

Oscar Wilde kicks off, with Karl Marx to remind us that religion is the sigh
of the oppressed, while philosophy is where mind meets matter. Freedom is
the good that contains all good. Free development of each is the
precondition for the free development of all.

Dr Marx was a trained philosopher. Engels, who never had degree, left more.
But Marxist literature contains too little philosophy. So you must go to
difficult Hegel. Life, and then death, overtook Lenin before he could do a
straight and simple version.
