SOUTH AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC TEACHERS' UNION (SADTU) The South African Democratic Teachers' Union (SADTU) has the following vacancy at its Provincial Office in the Kwa Zulu Natal: Provincial Administrator This is a senior position in the organisation and only experienced persons need to apply. The above incumbent will be required to perform the following duties: § Responsible for the logistics pertaining to meetings and conferences; § Provide administrative support to the Provincial Leadership and all Portfolios; § Provide administrative support to all Regional Offices (consisting of a lot of branches); § Manage and supervise the staff members in the office; § Type all reports, minutes, memorandums, amongst others; § Assist with the designing of posters, pamphlets, memorandums as per request in that regard; § Coordinate all the administrative duties of the Provincial Office and structural meetings § Liaise with and maintain stakeholder relationships § Maintain good working relations with COSATU & her affiliates; SASCO and COSAS § Organise union conferences, campaigns and prepare associated materials § Prepare media statements and represent the union in stakeholder meeting including paraphanelia § Filing Qualifications § Matric and a Secretarial / Administration Diploma or equivalent § 5 years relevant experience with 3 years at a Supervisory level § a reasonable understanding of the trade union / NGO sector Other requirements § Computer literacy (MS Office) § Sound Project Management Skills § Ability to work under pressure § Sound Supervisory skills § Excellent Report writing skills § Excellent Management skills § Good interpersonal skills § Good written and communication skills Interested persons are invited to apply for the above mentioned post.
