26 July 2017 Sanctions are War Sanctions are not an alternative to war; sanctions are war. The sanctions that the US House of Representatives voted on last night in Washington are extremely serious. The USA is attempting to block the European Union from having access to available energy supplies from Russia, so that the USA can itself monopolise the supply of energy to Europe, the largest energy market in the world. The news is very fresh. There is a report on RT, here: https://www.rt.com/usa/397474-house-representatives-sanctions-russia/ As well as interfering with the relations between Europe and Russia, the USA is by these sanctions also attempting to obstruct the Belt and Road initiative associated with China. The Belt and Road initiative would connect both East and West of the Eurasian land-mass with Africa, and thereby create the means of our economic expansion for the remainder of the 21st Century.
