SAMWU Returns to Bargaining Council for Salary and Wage Negotiations

The South African Municipal Workers' Union (SAMWU) will be returning to the
South African Local Government Bargaining Council (SALGBC) on the 17th and
18th May 2018. This after the facilitator's proposal was presented to
parties at the forth and last round of negotiations of salary and wage
negotiations in April this year.

The purpose of the meeting is to report back on the mandate which we have
received from our members following a rigorous consultation process. All
parties had agreed in April that another meeting will be convened by the
Bargaining Council for this purpose.

Members should rest assured that we have their interest at heart, we will
keep them updated throughout the duration of the meeting.
