Hi all, Can someone recommend one (or more) guides (formalized?) to tagging practices? I know there are many schools of thought out there and I'm trying to decide what is going to work best for me.
Metatagging seems to be the best bet (such as objecttype:book), but if you start making up your own metatags then things like Technorati won't pick them up (if I looked for the tag "book" my metatagged tag wouldn't come up). And since the social aspect is important, what do you recommend for a balance between usefulness to yourself and making things easy for others to connect with? I don't particularly want to spend an hour coming up with tags for each url I bookmark. I know there's a ton of stuff out there about folksonomy but I just wanted to see if anyone had documented their personal tagging practices and if I could decide from reading about a few of those. Or if there are already some kind of standards for metatagging that people are leaning toward. Any help appreciated!
