Hi all, my name is Manuel. I'm developing an app that extracts certain (not all) links from blog posts. Although the app is not yet completed, my mind keeps wandering to future 'what-if' toys/features. One of those possibilities is that of creating a del.icio.us user for my app and using the API to post the extracted links and the posts' permalinks combo to del.icio.us under some special tags. I'm not really sure how this would be useful, I'm just thinking it would be an interesting experiment. Kind of.
But, legal (privacy of the links) and technical (not pounding the API) questions aside, I'm deeply worried that this could in any way be against the letter or the spirit of the TOS or be of any harm to the community, dilluting the del.icio.us experience in any aspect. That will certainly kill the idea rigth on the drawing board. So I'd like to read any oppinions or views or straight prohibitions about non-human agents posting to del.icio.us. Reading both from some 'official' words from the staffers AND sincere opinions from passsionate users would be just great.
