It seems that the search return set for your own items actually searches the term upon *everyone's* instance of the item in question (while only returning items you have tagged yourself). For instance, I can search for the term "logic" under my own terms [/search/?user=logic] and correctly get back items containing the term... as well as unwanted items which do not contain the term, but which *others* have tagged or described using the term.
