Hi del.icio.us Guys
I've been using this service for about a week(7 days and counting), and
combined with the foxylicious extension for Firefox my links are better
organised, tagged with relevant tags and easier to use from everywhere
in the world.
For this I'd like to thank the guys making this possible, you guys rock :)
Thing's I've encountered that I'd consider bugs or counter intuitive
behavoir:
1. Search returns only exact matches i.e. search for 'winsc' wont return
my link for 'WinSCP'. (but search is case insensitive, which is good :) ).
2. Tagging, popular tags are case sensitive i.e my tag 'news' won't show
up under recommended tags if everybody else tagged it 'News'.
3. Browsing my links ex. http://del.icio.us/dleh/movie adds a list with
'related tags' ex. '+ reference' clicking that sends my browser to
http://del.icio.us/dleh/reference.
I would have expected it to goto
http://del.icio.us/dleh/movie+reference and showing the links with these
tags in common (I know I can do this with a bundle, but
the use of symbols suggest another behavoir would occur when
clicking the links).
Features:
- Instead of showing only the recommended tags and popular tags when
tagging, I suggest that all my tags where displayed and all recommended
tags where
coloured green, this idea can probably use some tweaking, but it
annoys me when I tag something new and i can't easily see my tags. Of
course this should be a
behavior you could enable from settings. :)
- When installing the firefox browser buttons it's not mentioned that
you also add del.icio.us as a search engine (
http://del.icio.us/register?step2 )
