the grey area is where unpositionned tags go. positioned tags go in the white of the page under it (starts with 600x300 default and grows if you drag them further out).
every time you drop a tag it's position is sent to server (using something like "tag/update?tag=foo&x=100&y=200")

your data and cloud are in fact public.
