I recently noticed the little "(saved)" indicator on the items in my "for"
page. That's great, because del.icio.us is getting smarter in a way it
doesn't provide me with an unnecessary link to save it.
One of my biggest wishes for del.icio.us was that it would filter out
(completely!) resources that I saved in the past. Now, I know it's not easy
(performance-wise) comparing my every item to every other item, even when
the database already offers optimizations for such exclusions ("SELECT
blabla WHERE foo NOT IN (SELECT ....)"). But, if the "for" page already does
it, why not first roll out the feature only for the network and work your
way up from there? I simply don't want to see things I've saved already. The
only place I'd want to see them is the "for" page (that's why I like the
"saved" indicator) because I'm interested in seeing what my fans are trying
to let me know.
After enabling the filter in the network, you could make it work in tag
listings. After that, even feeds (w/ some private key or similar)! :)
Thanks,
