I'm getting tired of the problem of porn spam in my subscriptions.
Because of this, I am no longer recommending del.icio.us to friends,
family or coworkers.

For about 3 months, I religiously posted my findings at
http://del.icio.us/help/abuse - but the only responses I got were the
automated "thank you" notes. Is this abuse reporting system used?
Overflowing? Ignored?

It seems to me that these spammers should be easy to discover and kick
while they're in the process of spamming. They seem to be using
multiple accounts, posting the same link with the same dreary
description, multiple times an hour.

Here's another idea - let me (i.e. your average user) maintain a
blacklist of tags, so I don't have to put up with any bookmark that
comes from my subscriptions but has a tag in the blacklist. Extra
points if this blacklist filtering can be extended to the description,
and for letting me blacklist (anti-subscribe) other users.

Overall, this started out as a great service, but thanks to a small
number of spammers who insist on peeing in the pool, I'm not sure if
the service will be worth much in the near future.
