Thank you Brad. Have a safe and fun trip.
Graham, this would be useful and good to take (it is th card entitled
"Convert our symlinks to packages that we grab during install").
Alternatively, also a +1 to pairing with Francesco on his upgrade-charm
hook, if that makes sense.
Thanks
Gary

Guys,
I didn't make it as far today on charm-tools as I would've liked. I got the
helpers module added to the branch and a setup.py file working but couldn't
make much more progress with the packaging. Unlike the previous packaging
(from scratch) this one is an incremental from an existing packaging and
requires patches, etc. I simply ran out of time before I could figure it out.
My branch is at lp:~bac/charm-tools/add-charm-helpers
I also spent some time working with pkgme. It may be good (once you get it to run
properly<What? This is a packaging helper written by packaging experts and it has
to be tweaked *a lot* before it'll run.>) but it is for initial packaging for a
project that has never been packaged before. As such, it would've been good
yesterday (python-shell-toolbox) but of no use today (charm-tools).
I did finish my wiki page, which may prove useful to us in the future. It is
mighty long for something attempting to be straightforward.

Feel free to send me email tomorrow if you have questions. I should have some
time for reading email in the lounge in Detroit. After that, not so much.
