Testrepository itself does not depend on subunit, our package uses the same packaging branch as the one released. In our use case that's not a problem because subunit is installed by launchpad-dependencies, contained in launchpad-developer-dependencies. However, having our PPA, it should be easy to create our packaging branch including subunit dependency.
