This reminded me of a problem I had a while back. It is taken a while to tack down notes and may not be relevant, but may be of some use. At one point I had a problem with my G5 picking up the an ip number from the dhcpserver (my ADSL modem, in this case). This started after some changes I made. In the end I tracked it down to having setup netplugd to run automatically. When I removed netplugd from the list of services to be run I went back to having the ip number allocated and networking running from boot.
In the interim while I had the problem I found I could set the network manually using wicd to select the wired connection and get an ip number. -- Stephen Harker [email protected] PEMS u...@adfa _______________________________________________ yellowdog-general mailing list - [email protected] Unsuscribe info: http://lists.fixstars.com/mailman/listinfo/yellowdog-general HINT: to Google archives, try '<keywords> site:us.fixstars.com'
