The Xserve G4 (1 GHz, 256 MB) has plenty to spare. <URL:http://www.biocenter.helsinki.fi/~atossava/YDL/afterstep-2.00.02-1.ppc.rpm> [9 MB] <URL:http://www.biocenter.helsinki.fi/~atossava/YDL/afterstep-devel-2.00.02-1.ppc.rpm> [150 kB] Compiled on YDL 2.3. The HTML documentation is not included because the machine didn't have neither openjade-devel nor linuxdoc-tools and neither were to be found on either the original install CD or using apt-get (which probably gets nothing these days for such an old distro). No guarantees of any kind, and don't ask me for help, I just "rpm -bb"'ed the SRPM as you asked. The package doesn't even install on the machine that compiled it, complaining about failed dependencies: libAfterBase.so.0 is needed by afterstep-2.00.02-1 libAfterImage.so.0 is needed by afterstep-2.00.02-1 These files were compiled but not installed by "make install" for reasons I can't figure out right now. They're in <URL:http://www.biocenter.helsinki.fi/~atossava/YDL/libAfterstuff.tar.gz> [450 kB] which, if unpacked into /usr/lib, _should_ result in a working AfterStep. One of the regular participants should do a better job of this... -- Atro Tossavainen (Mr.) / The Institute of Biotechnology at Systems Analyst, Techno-Amish & / the University of Helsinki, Finland, +358-9-19158939 UNIX Dinosaur / employs me, but my opinions are my own. < URL : http : / / www . helsinki . fi / %7E atossava / > NO FILE ATTACHMENTS _______________________________________________ yellowdog-general mailing list [email protected] http://lists.terrasoftsolutions.com/mailman/listinfo/yellowdog-general HINT: to Google archives, try '<keywords> site:terrasoftsolutions.com'
