Hi Krischan: As you may be aware the difficulties and challenges of all Linux distros are that a dependency or the latest download may mismatch with a particular kernel or the kernel may have been compiled one kind or other modules present have not been invoked at compile time, and so on. It can reach the point where one has to be a Master Software Engineer oneself to correct, adapt and otherwise manage all the varieties of possibilities, and as time goes on I keep observing that this is what consistently appears to be true amongst all the distros. This is the nature of what Linux is, and may be this way for quite sometime. If ANYONE found a "perfect" and balanced distro I'm sure everyone would be THERE. That you came "back" here, says an awful lot AND demonstrates my prior argument with others regarding other distros. However, it is hardly a winning point that YDL is less likely to have things wrong with it as it is closely tied to Red Hat. Again the problem is the way Linux itself has been designed, and like a treadmill that never stops, slows down and needs itself repairs...one may marvel at the system, but one begins to wonder if there isn't a saner way of working or doing whatever what one does.
