I run ntpd as a daemon. It's always on keeping my clocks in sync. To reduce network traffic, one machine syncs to the outside world, and the rest to it. The outside server I use is at my ISP. It claims to be stratum 1 as in an atomic clock, but it's only GPS. Accurate enough for anything I do. Geoff. -- Geoffrey S.
