I tried to run yum update this morning. It got almost finished, then complained that the kernel it had found was for ppc64 -- this is on a G3 iBook, and I don't know what those had in August 2002.
I tried yum update kernel, and it seemed to take, but reported it found no bootloader, and couldn't configure the kernel. rpm -q yaboot gets me an rpm designation. I tried yum clean, then yum update again. It still hangs on a complaint that the kernel is for ppc64 architecture. yum update --exclude kernel fails. yum update exception=kernel fails. I see nothing else in man yum that even suggests what to do. -- Beartooth Neo-Redneck, Linux Evangelist FC4, YDL 4; Pine 4.63, Pan 0.14.2.91; Privoxy 3.0.3; Dillo 0.8.5, Opera 8.01, Firefox 1.0.4, Epiphany 1.6.1 Remember that I have little idea what I am talking about. _______________________________________________ yellowdog-general mailing list [email protected] http://lists.terrasoftsolutions.com/mailman/listinfo/yellowdog-general HINT: to Google archives, try '<keywords> site:terrasoftsolutions.com'
