Title: Newbie to the List... Dual 2.7 G5 Install...
Well, this may have been asked here before, but I’ve attempted to scour the web, and any archive and list I know and I can’t figure it out.  I’ve attempted to disable everything I know to disable, even used OpenFirmware to disable the second CPU, and well, I joined the list about a week ago to see if anyone was talking about this topic, since I haven’t heard anything, so here I go...

I have the latest iso’s (
yellowdog-4.0.1-orion-20050208-install1.iso) but I can’t for the life of me install Yellow Dog on my brand new dual 2.7 G5.  I boot with install-g5-safe and get “Kernel Access of Bad Area” on iface_create when it loads up the i2c /dev nodes (or so it seems).

The most I’ve found is a kernel patch that fixes this supposed bug, but would have no way of really re-making the ISO with a patched kernel, or if this patch is already in the latest ISO and it’s just not working for me...

I’ve found this patch/info, but it is back from May.

Anyone find a fix for this...?  =\  Thanks
